Emergency Response Team

The Copas Partnership are proud to support The Emergency Response Team, for many years we have provided a training ground for Search and Rescue Training.

ERT Search and Rescue is an International Disaster Response Search and Rescue NGO, based in Henley-on-Thames, established as a charity in 2004.

The team have deployed internationally for major disasters such as the Boxing Day tsunami 2004, the Pakistan earthquake 2005, plus several support and follow-up relief missions, the Haiti Earthquake 2010 and the Pakistan Floods of 2010. The team also mobilised and deployed in the UK for numerous call outs as a Civil Contingencies Responder such as the Oxfordshire Floods of 2007 and the Snow and Ice spell of 2010. Many lives have been saved and positively affected because of ERTSAR’s work in disasters in the United Kingdom and around the world.

ERTSAR shall be holding a fund raisers introduction day at Henley Business School, Greenlands, between 10am and 2pm on Sunday 20th May 2012.

They are looking for dynamic people with a keen interest in international disaster response and charity work, who would like to get involved on the ‘non-operational’ team to help them increase public awareness, raise much needed funds and help meet their fund raising target of £15,000 for 2012.

At the morning presentation there will be a chance to meet and talk to the UK Commanders, Unit Heads and members of the ERTSAR team, plus get an insight into the life-saving work that they do internationally and at home here in the UK. They are keen to meet local businesses and people who feel that they may be able to help in some way, however small.
