Temple Island Meadows provides the perfect Summer Venue for your Corporate Event. The versatility of the venue means that it's entirely adaptable to suit your needs. You can have your Company meeting in the morning with an afternoon of team building and entertainment or host a unique product launch or exhibition. We have a superb team who can help you achieve the perfect riverside event.

Temple Island Meadows is ideally located for a day-out or a special evening near the M4 and M40 and only 45 minutes from LHR, and there is plenty of luxury and budget accommodation in the area to suit all budgets. The venue is a mile from the centre of Henley on Thames a picturesque historic Georgian town. There is ample parking for car, coaches, boats, and even helicopters. We can accommodate almost any sized event: anything from 50 to 40,000 people.

With such a versatile riverside venue as the meadow was are able to offer a whole range of activities on and off the water which can have a focus on team building or just as entertainment whatever you require for your event. From Company Fun days to Team Building Events activities can be tailor-made to suit your needs.

Archery

Our archery team consists of GNAS Archery Leaders who will give you the best tuition possible in this popular and well established sport.  Over many years our team has developed a simplified coaching method which allows all participants to learn quickly, and shoot more consistently and accurately than you would have ever thought possible in such a short space of time!

Cryptic & Team Building Challenges

We offer a wide and varied selection of challenges that are not only fun but can be tailored to a theme of your choice or focused on bringing out particular skills from your team to ensure they are working as a cohesive and tight-knit unit.  All the activities are fully inclusive and encourage participants to think logically in groups and work together to resolve the immediate problem and achieve a common goal.  You’ll be amazed how addictive our challenges are! 

Human Table Football

This is a huge inflatable version of the popular pub game and is hilarious fun!  Human players play 5-a-side football attached by Velcro to plastic poles which slide from side to side across an inflatable arena. With a minimum of 5 players team sizes can vary and it can be played in a knock-out format or as a World Cup Tournament! Human Table Football is an ideal corporate teambuilding event for all ages and abilities and whilst teams are not playing they are free to watch, cheer and jeer from the sidelines! 

Inflatable Obstacle Course

Brand new for 2010, the Inflatable Obstacle Course features holes to jump through, walls to climb over, inflatable columns to squeeze between and an 8ft high slide to finish off with.  Our Inflatable Obstacle Course is fully covered so can be used in wet weather unlike most bouncy castles which need to cease operating when wet. 

Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting

This is played with authentic but deactivated 12-bore shotguns that have been fitted with harmless laser equipment.  Our team of experienced instructors will brief the participants on how to handle the gun, and will be on hand to give tuition and guidance throughout.  Our laser clay equipment generates the shotgun "bang" and when a player hits the target the sounds of a clay shattering can be heard.  Indicators on the gun instantly tell the player whether they have hit or missed the target and the scores for all competitors are displayed on a giant electronic scoreboard throughout the game.

Raft Building

Each team is given a selection of materials; plastic barrels, poles and of course the all important rope, so once they are happy with the design of their raft building can commence!  The rafts must be strong enough to carry a team of 4 paddlers round a designated course.

Once building is complete the additional team members need to be on hand to assist the paddlers with launching their raft and help with the recovery of the raft (hopefully still in one piece) when they return to the shore.  All team members then help dismantle the raft before racing across the finish line.

To ensure safety whilst on the water the teams will be equipped with buoyancy aids, helmets and of course paddles to speed their progress around the course. 

Rock Climbing (Mobile Wall)

Rock climbing is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK, but why spend time travelling when we can bring a mobile climbing wall to you?  The eye catching 7m wall features automatic belays, and allows up to 8 climbers to climb simultaneously.  We have many different routes on the wall meaning that we can find a challenge for all ages and abilities. 

School Sports Day

Teams get to relive the fun, rivalry and probably cheating of their school days in this heady recreation of the end-of-summer term sports day.  Everyone is transported back to their childhood with events such as, the egg and spoon race, the sack race, the three-legged race, even the space hopper race as well as the more traditional sprint, football dribbling, fancy dress ‘mums and dads’ races and of course no sports day is complete without the final decider – the relay! 

Segway Human Transporters

These are unique two wheeled, self-balancing electric transportation devices which harness some of the most advanced technology to date and as a result there has never been anything similar before.   Segways require no special skills to use and take only minutes to get the hang of, as it takes care of the balancing part for you, meaning virtually any age or ability can use one.  Riding a Segway is a unique and thrilling experience! 

Dragon Boat Racing

The teams will paddle what looks like an oversized canoe with an ornately carved dragons head at the front and a tail at the rear.  A drum positioned at the front with a drummer furiously banging the drum to keep the rest of the crew in time.  A helms person (provided by TAG) steers the boat from the rear and helps to co-ordinate the team’s efforts so that they are all paddling at the same speed. 

Dragon boating is not only an exhilarating and enjoyable sport but also an excellent exercise in teambuilding.  It is essential for dragon boat teams to work together; making use of each member’s individual strengths in order to ensure that their team delivers the best possible performance in their races.  The winning team will be the team that successfully works together; communicating with each other, with the help of the drummer, to ensure that they work as a unified team.

A maximum of 11 crew members will race in the boat at one time.  The boats accommodate teams of 10 paddlers, 1 drummer and a helm (the minimum number in a boat is 6 paddlers, 1 drummer and 1 helm).
