SUE RYDER ~ FORGET-ME-NOT MEMORY WALK
We believe that every one of us has the right to die as we wish. This is why we are expanding our community-based services in and around South Oxfordshire, so that we can support more people, in more places, giving them more choice about how and where they are cared for.
We know that a greater number of people than ever before want to be cared for at home, so we are working hard to ensure our services meet the changing needs of local people.
All this takes medical expertise. It takes compassion and understanding. This of course, takes money.
Last year the Sue Ryder South Oxfordshire Palliative Care Hub provided 80,000 hours of support to patients and their families.
Our care is free, but it costs us £3.8m per year to provide it, which equates to £10,000 per day!
Without the tireless fundraising of our supporters, we would not be able to continue to provide the care that we are so well known for.
Please come and join us at the beautiful Temple Island Meadows to take part in our much-loved annual event, The Forget-Me-Not Memory Walk, set against the stunning backdrop of the Thames and Temple Island. The event is for anyone who has lost a loved one and wants to walk in remembrance to celebrate those who are gone but not forgotten.
